Greased Lightning? John Travolta latest famous face at Amalie Arena

TAMPA — If you’ve been to or watched a Lightning game this season, especially in the playoffs, you’ve likely been in the presence of a star.

No, not the stars on the ice.

Here’s a list of famous people who have been spotted at a Lightning game this season:

John Travolta, actor and singer

Travolta should have plenty of experience saying “Lightning.”

Connor Cruise, actor and the son of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman

This wasn’t Cruise’s first game at Amalie this postseason. He’s had a good seat for action, including Wednesday night ahead of puck drop in Game 2.

24KGoldn, rapper

24KGoldn might have to write a Lightning locker room victory song after his night at Game 2.

Tony Robbins, American author and motivational speaker

Maybe Robbins will console the Canadiens if Montreal heads home down 2-0 in the series.

Mike Edwards, Bucs safety, and Donovan Smith, Bucs offensive tackle

Smith played big down the stretch protecting Tom Brady’s blind side during the Bucs’ Super Bowl runs, and Edwards is a big piece of the team’s young, talented secondary.

Ali Marpet, Bucs left guard

Marpet wears a C on his jersey as one of the team’s offensive captains. With all due respect to the straight-shooting Hobart alum, we like the let-loose Ali as well.

Tyler Glasnow, Rays pitcher

The flame-throwing Rays ace is currently on the IL. He won’t find himself in a sticky situation at Amalie.

Ryan Callahan, former Lightning forward

Callahan may be back in New York, but he’ll never forget his Lightning roots, especially when it comes to his foundation. He received $100,000 from the Lightning recently.

Vincent Lecavalier, former Lightning forward

His No. 4 is in the rafters at Amalie, and he’s still a big part of the Tampa Bay community.

Jeff Scott, USF football coach

Scott had to come to Florida to find a hockey team. That was one thing South Carolina could never offer.

Derrick Brooks, former Bucs great

Brooks won a Lombardi Trophy with the Bucs and is currently a member of the Lightning front office.

Rob Higgins, Tampa Bay Sports Commission executive director

One of the most important people in Tampa Bay sports, Higgins has brought Super Bowls, college football playoffs and even WrestleMania to Tampa.

Michael Kelly, USF athletic director

The Bulls AD had high praise for the Lightning’s pre-game presentations.

Kevin Kiermaier, Rays centerfielder, and Austin Meadows, Rays outfielder/DH

The left-handed hitting outfielders used a Rays off day as an opportunity to watch a playoff game.

Martin St. Louis, former Lightning forward

If you have your name in the rafters, you should get to attend Lightning playoff games whenever you want.

Justin Allgaier, NASCAR Xfinity Series driver

The No. 7 Chevrolet driver has won two races in 2021, the most recent at Darlington Raceway.

Cameron Brate, Bucs tight end

Brate’s been a longtime fixture in the Bucs organization. Alex Killorn wore his jersey before the Super Bowl. Harvard guys stick together.

O.J. Howard, Bucs tight end

“Juice” frequently attends Tampa Bay sporting events. In fact, he once caught a foul ball at a Rays playoff game. Pucks don’t typically get to the club level though.

Jose Fernandez, USF women’s basketball coach

The Bulls coach had quite the season, leading his team to a 19-4 run before losing in the second round of the NCAA Women’s Tournament.

Yung Gravy, singer

The musician’s Gravy Train was the Lightning’s postgame victory song and is forever remembered with an engraving on the team’s Stanley Cup ring. He hosted a live concert ahead of Game 4 against the Panthers.

Chris Lucas of LOCASH, country musician

Lucas might be of country roots, but he’s always down for a good time at a Lightning game.

Titus O’Neil, WWE

He made a name for himself as a professional wrestler, but former Gators football standout Thaddeus Bullard has made a tremendous impact for his community involvement.

Rob Gronkowski, Bucs tight end

Gronkowski actually played hockey growing up outside Buffalo, and he attended a Lightning practice earlier this season and actually looked pretty good on skates. He should still keep his day job.

Bret Michaels, musician

The Poison artist did not do a live rendition of Every Rose Has Its Thorn.

And you can’t forget these special faces from the regular season:

Tom Brady, Bucs quarterback

We’ll conveniently forget that he used to root for the Bruins. Tampa Tom is a different man anyway, and the GOAT is always welcome anywhere he goes in the bay area after bringing Lombardi home.

Shaquil Barrett, Bucs outside linebacker

The Bucs’ edge rusher not only attended a game recently, but he brought the second-best trophy in sports to Amalie Arena to show off to fans.
