Great America, KC amusement park make Super Bowl bet

(KRON) — Plenty of people love placing wagers on the Super Bowl, and California’s Great America is no exception. The Santa Clara amusement park made a wager with Missouri’s Worlds of Fun in Kansas City on Sunday’s big game, according to a press release from California Parks.

The loser of the wager will have to name one of their rides after the opposing team for their opening weekend.

Which players are left from the last 49ers-Chiefs Super Bowl?

If the Chiefs win, Great America’s “The Patriot” ride will be changed to “The Soaring Chiefs” on March 23-24. If the 49ers win, Worlds of Fun will rename “Zambezi Zinger” to “Niners Thrill Rally” on May 4-5.

“We are excited to be part of this great rematch,” said Barb Granter, General Manager of
California’s Great America. “Our park is rallying around San Francisco for the win and can’t wait
to see Worlds of Fun guests enjoying ‘Niners Thrill Rally.'”

When it comes to putting actual money down, nearly 68 million Americans are expected to bet on the Super Bowl, according to the American Gaming Association. As of Tuesday afternoon, the 49ers are favored by 1.5 over the Chiefs.
