Heading into the first round of the Ohio High School Athletic Association football playoffs, here is a rundown of Southwest Ohio's top statistical leaders in a number of offensive and defensive categories. Teams in Divisions I-VII that advance all the way to a title game will have five more opportunities to add to these numbers.

Top 10 passers

Griffin Scalf, Anderson

Scalf has thrown for 3,308 yards and 22 touchdowns for the Raptors with a high game of 466 yards against Loveland. He led the Eastern Cincinnati Conference in passing yards.

Drew Novak, Western Brown

Novak has thrown for 3,247 yards and 31 touchdowns for the Broncos with a high game of 472 yards against Wilmington.

Armoud Seals, Woodward

Seals led the Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference in passing yards with 3,095 for 25 touchdowns. His high game was 496 against Bethel-Tate.

Will Kocher, Kings

Kocher had 2,847 passing yards for 33 touchdowns for the Knights. His best game was 495 yards against Anderson last week.

Austin Harden, Milford

Harden threw for 2,607 yards for the Eagles for 34 touchdowns. His best game was a 372-yard effort against Anderson.

Alex Davis, Summit Country Day

Davis threw for 2,481 yards for the Silver Knights for 22 touchdowns. The Miami Valley Conference passing leader's best game was 322 yards vs. Norwood.

A.J. Metzger, New Richmond

The No. 2 passer in the Southern Buckeye Conference behind Western Brown's Novak, Metzger threw for 2,417 yards and 31 touchdowns. He twice threw for 340 yards; against Bethel-Tate and Talawanda.

J.J. Miller, Williamsburg

Miller threw for 2,093 yards and 31 touchdowns for the Wildcats. His high game was 356 yards against Hillsboro.

Mitch Bolden, Lakota West

Bolden led the Greater Miami Conference in passing with 2,033 yards for 25 touchdowns. His best game was a 302-yard effort against Colerain last week.

Blaine Sizer, Waynesville

Sizer led the Southwestern Buckeye League with 2,000 passing yards for 19 touchdowns. He threw for a season-high 479 against Franklin.

Top 10 runners

C.J. Hester, Wyoming

Hester tops the Cincinnati Hills League in all area rushers with 2,081 yards for 33 touchdowns. He had a season-high 351 yards last week against Madeira.

Brent Thompson, Gamble Montessori

Thompson led the CMAC in rushing with 1,511 yards for 21 touchdowns. His season high was a 276-yard game against Dayton Christian.

Thad Stuckey, Wilmington

Stuckey led the SBAAC in rushing with 1,479 yards for 13 touchdowns. His top game was 242 yards against Western Brown.

Trey Cornist, Winton Woods

After transferring from Mount Healthy, Cornist ran for 1,390 yards for the Warriors for 20 touchdowns. His best game was 343 yards vs. Anderson.

Demico Harris, St. Bernard-Elmwood Place

Harris ran for 1,372 yards to lead the Miami Valley Conference with eight touchdowns. His best game was a 205-yard effort against New Miami.

Talon Fisher, Fairfield

From the quarterback position, Fisher led the GMC with 1,342 yards rushing for 15 touchdowns. He reached 256 yards against Lakota West.

Braden Kay, Lebanon

Kay ran for 1,282 yards for the Warriors for 15 touchdowns. He reached 282 yards against Milford.

Elijah Jackson, Monroe

Jackson rumbled for 1,262 yards for the Hornets for 15 touchdowns. The SWBL leader reached 220 yards against Franklin.

Jordan Marshall, Moeller

Marshall led the Greater Catholic League-South with 1,260 yards for 20 touchdowns. His top game was 189 yards against Louisville Trinity.

Greg Miller, St. Bernard-Elmwood Place

Miller ran for 1,253 yards for the Titans. He had 15 touchdowns and a season-best game of 201 yards against Williamsburg.

Top 10 receivers

Donte Ferrell, Woodward

The CMAC leader topped all Southwest Ohio pass-catchers with 1,744 yards for 12 touchdowns on 92 catches. He caught nine balls for 280 yards against Bethel-Tate.

Santos Alvarez, Anderson

Alvarez led the ECC with 1,201 yards on 88 catches. His top game was 15 catches for 176 yards against West Clermont.

Matthew Frye, Western Brown

Frye led the SBAAC with 1,103 yards on 53 catches for 13 touchdowns. His top game was seven catches for 173 yards and three scores against Jackson.

Max Mehlman, Batavia

Mehlman had 931 yards on 51 catches for three touchdowns. His best game came last week against Western Brown when he had 13 receptions for 143 yards.

Jacob Carrico, Summit Country Day

Carrico led the MVC in receiving with 852 yards on 59 catches for 10 touchdowns. He had 10 receptions for 113 yards in a game vs. Reading.

Isaiah Smith, Western Brown

Smith had 36 catches for 840 yards and six touchdowns for the Broncos. His best game was a seven-catch 161-yard effort against Washington Court House.

Brayden Bischoff, Little Miami

Bischoff had 58 catches for 820 yards and four touchdowns for the Panthers. His best game was 13 catches for 206 yards against Anderson.

Braedyn Moore, Badin

The University of Cincinnati commit had 58 catches for 789 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Rams. His best game came last week against McNicholas with a 10-catch 151-yard effort.

Aaron McFarland, Taylor

McFarland had 31 catches for 786 yards and eight touchdowns. His best game was four catches for 148 yards against Finneytown.

Alex Ervin, Williamsburg

Ervin had 53 catches for 745 yards for 11 touchdowns for the Wildcats. His best game was 12 catches for 158 yards against Bethel-Tate.

Top 10 tacklers

Demico Harris, St. Bernard-Elmwood Place

Harris had 158 tackles for the Titans to lead the MVC and Southwest Ohio. He had 22 tackles against Cincinnati College Prep.

Jack Moore, New Richmond

Moore had 147 tackles for the Lions to lead the SBAAC. He had 26 tackles to open the season against Northwest.

Isaiah Smart, Clark Montessori

Smart had 122 tackles for the Cougars with a season-high 22 against Middletown Christian.

Ya'Va Harris, Purcell Marian

Harris had 123 tackles including a season-high 24 against Madeira.

Chase Pickard, Wilmington

Pickard led the Hurricane with 118 stops. He had a season-best 19 tackles against New Richmond.

Ethan Hola, Miami Valley Christian Academy

Hola had 115 tackles including an 18-tackle game against Manchester.

Shepard Snell, Cincinnati Country Day

Snell had 114 tackles for the Nighthawks. He had 17 tackles against New Miami.

Rico Johnson, Cincinnati College Prep Academy

Johnson finished with 111 stops for CCPA. He had 13 three times, against Bethel-Tate, St. Bernard-Elmwood Place and Gamble Montessori.

(tie) Josh Snell, Williamsburg and Grant Booth, Taylor

Both had 109 tackles. Booth had a season-high 16 against Reading while Snell had 16 the last two times out against Western Brown and Clinton-Massie.

Top 10 sack leaders

Greg Miller, St. Bernard-Elmwood Place

Miller topped the MVC and Southwest Ohio with 17.5 sacks. He had six in one game vs. Finneytown.

(tie) Elias Rudolph, Taft and Dylan Horsley, Norwood

Both had 16.5 sacks. Rudolph had four to open the season against Roger Bacon while Horsley had an 8.5 effort against CCPA.

Desmond Davis, Gamble Montessori

Davis had 15 sacks for the Gators. He had four to start the season vs. New Miami.

Talon Armacost, Bethel-Tate

Armacost tallied 14.5 for the Tigers. He registered four against Batavia.

(tie) Quinterrius Jemison, Withrow and Nolan Darnell Bethel-Tate

Jemison had 13.5 with five of those coming against Trotwood-Madison. Darnell had 4.5 sacks against Woodward.

Ya'Va Harris, Purcell Marian

Harris sacked 12.5 for the Cavaliers. He had two sacks in a game five times this season.

Damarion Hughes, Woodward

Hughes had 11.5 sacks for the Big Red. His best game was three vs. Aiken.

Lance Byndon, Taft

Bydon had 10.5 for the Senators. He had 4.5 sacks in his last game against Woodward.

Top 10 interception leaders

Jayonn Saunders, Purcell Marian

Saunders led the MVC and Southwest Ohio with nine including three against CCPA.

(tie) Tayshawn Banks, Taft and Jayce Houston, Gamble Montessori

Both had eight. Banks had three picks against Hughes and Houston has had two interceptions in a game three times.

(tie) C.J. Boothby, Clermont Northeastern, Jacob Smith, Milford and Paul Kelly, Kings

All have six picks. Smith had two against Anderson while Kelly had two in back-to-back games against Loveland and Milford. Boothby had three against Bethel-Tate.

(tie) Jermaine Mathews Jr, Winton Woods, Jake Cameron, Kings, Ryan Coyle, CCD, Daven Gibson, Clark Montessori, Noah Kroger, MVCA, Donovan Matthews, Summit Country Day and Jay'Quan Bostic, Taft.

All have five interceptions. Mathews had two picks vs. Kings, Coyles two vs. Clark Montessori, Gibson two vs. Hillcrest, Kroger two vs. Manchester and Matthews two vs. CCD.
