George Rogers Clark 45, Bishop Brossart 27

After an opening round victory over Bracken County, Bishop Brossart's reward was a semifinal match with the 10th Region's top team: George Rogers Clark. The Lady 'Stangs, led by senior Lauren Macht's 11 points, competed with the 29-win Lady Cardinals, trailing by just five points at the half. George Rogers Clark then outscored Bishop Brossart in the second half 27-14, including a 15-6 advantage in the final quarter. The season for the Lady 'Stangs ended with an even 20 wins to 11 losses, while the Cardinals, a state favorite, moves on to play for the region crown Saturday at 7 p.m. at Nicholas County.
