Greater Fall River RE-Creation kicks off free summer lunch program

FALL RIVER — Greater Fall River RE-Creation kicked off its free Summer Lunch in the Parks program Tuesday at the Pleasant View apartment complex.

Lunch is served every day through Aug. 26, with activities planned at many of the sites from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The totally free program requires no registration and is open to anyone 18 and younger. Lunch is served 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lunches will be served at the following locations, with activities planned from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Father Travassos, Griffin Park, Kennedy Park, Lafayette Park, Maplewood Park, Pleasant View, Pulaski Park, Ruggles Park, Sunset Hill.

Lunch is available without activities at the following: Bennie Costa, Father Diaferio, Heritage Heights.

On rainy days, lunch is served indoors.
