Local officials and community leaders honored downtown Lafayette's Sweet Revolution, owned and operated by a sister, brother and mother team – Chef Sarah McGregor-Ray, Jonathon McGregor and Debbie McGregor, respectively.

“From the House of Representatives, we are delighted to recognize you as Small Business of the Month, with certainly lots of great wishes for both Sweet Revolution and Revolution Barbeque. As a member of the 122nd Indiana General Assembly, I’d like to congratulate Sarah, Jonathon and Debbie,” said State Rep. Sheila Klinker (D-Lafayette) at the ceremony, in the release.

Sweet Revolution Bake Shop, located at 109 N. 5th St. in Lafayette, offers made-from-scratch savory pies, quiches, coffee and teas.

“It’s definitely been the most gratifying thing I’ve ever done,” said Sarah McGregor-Ray, in the release, adding Sweet Revolution isn't a run-of-the-mill bakery. “We don’t want to just be the best bakery in Lafayette. We want someone to come here from anywhere and enjoy it and see what we have to offer.”

“It is an honor to receive this award. As I’ve been reflecting on the Small Business of the Month award, I think about this community. We moved here from Orlando, and we thought Lafayette would be a good option. There has never been a day that I regretted it, in 15 years of being in this community,” said Jerry Lecy in the announcement sent to the Journal & Courier.
