Greater Taunton residents among 12 to achieve rank of Eagle Scout in southeastern Mass.

TAUNTON — Several Greater Taunton residents have soared to a new rank in the Scouts BSA: they've achieved the ranking of Eagle Scout.

The Narragansett Council of the Boy Scouts of America, which covers Rhode Island and parts of Southeastern Massachusetts and Connecticut, announced in a press release that 12 new Scouts from southeastern Massachusetts have achieved the rank of Eagle.

A Court of Honor ceremony was held on Jan. 12 at the historic Taunton Superior Courthouse.
