And with that resolution firmly in place, let's take a look at today's top stories:

Sunday Reads

This week's Sunday Read is about a whole lot of other reads: we're asking you to decide what the Taunton Daily Gazette's top story of 2021 was. You can go right here to cast your vote.

Books of 2021

Every year, I, your faithful Gazette digital producer, resolve to try to read 50 books. And I have yet to reach that number. However, in 2021, I managed to read 34, and I've rounded them all up here, so you can see everything I read over this past year, and if there's something you'd like to add to your "to read" pile! Any time you want to talk books, send me an email at kfontes@heraldnews.com.

Sports

The Bristol-Plymouth wrestlers have looked like masters of their craft so far this season, and Friday was no exception. The Craftsmen swept the Carver quad meet, beating the host Crusaders 48-27, Bellingham 43-36 and Scituate 42-36 to improve to 10-2 overall. Gazette Sports Reporter Cameron Merritt has all the scores and stats from Greater Taunton athletics, right here.
