SOUTH BEND — Logan Community Resources has announced that the father-son duo Mark and John Cronin will be the keynote speakers at its Great Logan Nose-On Luncheon at noon March 26 at Century Center, 120 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

The Cronins co-founded John’s Crazy Socks in 2016, when John asked his father to partner with him in a new business as John prepared to graduate from high school and Wilson Tech, where he studied retailing and customer service.

John, who has Down syndrome, is the leader and the face of John’s Crazy Socks, a specialty sock company that sells “fun” socks, which John has worn and collected his whole life.

Headquartered in Farmingdale, N.Y., the company donates 5% of its earnings to Special Olympics, hires people with differing abilities and builds its workforce around them, and partners with charities to offer discounts for the charities’ supporters when they purchase from the company’s website.

In 1988, Logan came up with the unusual idea of selling green noses to raise money and awareness in support of its mission to serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

John's Crazy Socks designed this pair of specialty socks for the 2024 Logan Community Resources' Great Logan Nose-On Luncheon, which takes place March 26, 2024, at Century Center in South Bend. The company's co-founders, the father-son duo of Mark and John Cronin, will be the keynote speakers.
