Greenbrier County man arrested for infant death

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (WVNS) — A man was recently arrested and charged with Child Abuse Causing Death.

According to Sergeant Brandon McCormick, of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at approximately 11:00 A.M., EMS came to a home near White Sulphur Springs because of a 2-month-old infant that was unresponsive.

The infant was immediately flown out of state to a medical facility. The infant ended up dying two days later.

After an investigation performed by West Virginia Child Protective Services and the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, an arrest was made. On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, Shane Lee Dolin, 25 of White Sulphur Springs, WV, was arrested and charged.

Dolin is currently being held at Southern Regional Jail.
