Greene County libraries now offer at-home COVID-19 tests

Greene County libraries are offering another resource to their toolbelt starting June 6: Anyone can get a free at-home COVID-19 testing kit from any library location, according to a press release.

Each household may receive four testing kits, and 2,500 kits will be distributed. Each kit includes two antigen tests and a guide on what to do if you test positive for COVID-19.

The kits are available through a partnership between the Springfield-Greene County Health Department and the Greene County Library District as a way to "combat health disparities in the community as they relate to COVID-19 and beyond," the press release said.

Community members are encouraged to report positive at-home test results using the Health Department COVID-19 Home Testing Survey. For more COVID-19 testing information visit COVIDTesting417.com.

The health department is also still offering free COVID-19 vaccine clinics. Find a clinic near you at vaccine417.com or call the COVID-19 Call Center at 417-874-1211.
