Greene County voters to receive new voter ID cards, some new polling locations

Within the next week or so, registered voters in Greene County can expect new voter identification cards to arrive in the mail. Required to help keep voter registration rolls up to date, the cards list the assigned polling location, ward or township and legislative and school districts.

Some voters may notice a change in their regularly assigned polling location. Following the 2020 U.S. census, according to a Greene County Clerk news release, many precinct boundary lines have changed due to population growth or legislative district boundary line adjustments.

Also because of population growth, four new precincts were created. Those are:

  • 29-CD; Polling location: The Well Church, 720 E. Norton Road, Springfield.

  • Battlefield C; Polling location: Battlefield City Hall's Community Room, 5434 Tower Drive, Battlefield.

  • Murray B; Polling location: First Baptist Church-Willard, 202 W. Jackson St., Willard.

  • North Republic B; Polling location: Republic Schools Bus Center, 700 N. Boston Lane, Republic.

Ahead of local elections on April 2, Greene County Clerk Shane Shoeller encourages voters to double check their voter identification cards and ensure all information is accurate. If a card arrives for someone who does not live at that address, the cards can be placed back in the mail for return delivery to the county clerk's office.

When checking in to vote, Missouri law requires the presentation of a valid form of photo ID issued either by the state or the U.S. government.
