Greenfield medical clinic to open Feb. 12

Feb. 1—Greater Regional Health's newest clinic in Greenfield is scheduled to open Monday, Feb. 12. The clinic, located on the west side of the town's square, is at 288 Public Square.

Greenfield will be the fourth clinic for Greater Regional outside of the main facility in Creston. Corning, Lenox and Mount Ayr are the other locations. Greenfield staff includes Demi Eble, Laura Hagen, Bobbi Bower and Amber Welch. Greater Regional administration has noted a number of patients from Adair County who use Greater Regional in Creston, which justified having a clinic in Greenfield.

Greater Regional board met Monday, Jan. 22. The board approved bids and budget of $487,339 for airborne infection isolation room. The room will also be equipped to care for bariatric patients. It will be converted from space on the patient care floor.

Director of Respiratory Therapy Katy Brown presented a capital requisition for two C1 Hamilton ventilators for a total of $37,165. Brown explained these ventilators replace two older ventilators and offers extended abilities including invasive and non-invasive options such as CPAP, BiPAP and high-flow oxygen.

A public hearing for the county budget was approved for 6:10 p.m., Feb. 26.

The board elected the following slate of officers for the year: Dave Driskell, Chairman; Jack Davis, Vice Chairman; Sherry McKie, Secretary and Tom Lesan, Treasurer.

Because of the construction to expand the lab, board meetings have been relocated to the D.V. Richardson Conference room.
