Greenpeace Reminds EU Leaders of Climate Time Bomb Ahead of Brussels Summit

Greenpeace activists projected a ticking climate time bomb onto the headquarters of the European Commission in Brussels on Wednesday, June 19, ahead of a planned EU summit on June 20.

Greenpeace said European leaders have been “talking big” on climate, but now should “act big”.

The European Commission has called for Europe to be “climate neutral” by 2050. That goal was set to be debated on Thursday, with a majority of states already indicating their support. Credit: Greenpeace via Storyful
