Mar. 13—A 44 year-old Greensburg man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 30 in Unity Township on Friday evening.

State police said Allen D. Wallace was traveling on his 2010 Yamaha motorcycle at a high rate of speed shortly after 9 p.m. when he collided with a 2020 Kia Sportage traveling in the same direction.

The Westmoreland County Coroner pronounced Wallace, who was thrown from his motorcycle, dead at the scene of the crash.

Police reported no other injuries.

However, police said two other motorcyclists who were traveling with Wallace were taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence.

Route 30 West remained closed for more than three hours while first responders cleared the crash scene.

Police are continuing to investigate.
