These Greenville-area high school swimmers won titles at SCHSL state championship meets

Over the weekend, swimmers from schools across Greenville County competed at the SCHSL state championships at the University of South Carolina Natatorium. Some results were unsurprising: Eastside's boys and girls dominated again and won the team state titles in AAAA. St. Joseph's Catholic School's boys team won the AAA title and plenty of other area athletes finished as all-state or state champion swimmers in their respective individual events.

Here are the swimmers who won individual titles over the weekend, across the three meets held at USC:

AAAAA

Delaney Franklin, J.L. Mann: Franklin won the girls 5A 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2 minutes, 6.15 seconds. She also won the 100 breaststroke.

Bennett Parramore, J.L. Mann: Parramore won the boys 100 backstroke with a time of 50.99 seconds. He also won the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:54.49.

AAAA

Girls 200 medley relay: The Eastside girls relay team of Lilla Bognar, Lauren Adams, Eva Kelly Tzouvelekas and Laila Harvey won the event by two full seconds.

Boys 200 medley relay: The Eastside boys team won with a time of 1:37.49. The relay team consisted of Joey Lilley, Hayden Quigley, Devin Council and Alex Talbot. Council and Talbot are seniors.

Girls 200 freestyle relay: Eastside's relay team of Grace Fowler, Bognar, Mia Luciano and Penny won the event with a time of 1:36.20.

Boys 200 freestyle relay: Eastside's team of Lilley, Christopher Olcott, Lincoln Council and Talbot won with a time of 1:27.72.

Girls 400 freestyle relay: Several Eastside swimmers won three events: The relay team of Adams, Fowler, Penny and Tzouevelekas made sure that happened for Adams and Penny. They won the event with a time of 3:28.82.

Boys 400 freestyle relay: Riverside won with a time of 3:13.45. The team consisted of senior Luke Workman, junior Jack North, sophomore Griffin Moore and was anchored by senior Nick Bracall.

Hayden Penny, Eastside: Penny, who was an individual state champion last year, won the girls 200 and 500 free events.

Lauren Adams, Eastside: Adams won the 50 free by .21 seconds with a time of 23.79. She also won the 100 free with a time of 52.29 seconds.

Lilla Bognar, Eastside: Bognar won the 100 back by nearly four seconds with a time of 55.45. She won the 200 IM by eight seconds.

AAA

Boys 200 medley relay: Greer Middle College's relay team of Jimmy Beeson, Maddex Ternes, Dalton Davis and TJ Rickard gave the Blazers a state title with a time of 1:35.83, winning the event by .07 seconds.

Sylvia Walker, St. Joseph's Catholic: Walker won the 200 and the 100 free.

Kylie Larkin, Christ Church: A University of South Carolina swim and dive commit, Larkin won the 50 freestyle and 100 back. She won the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.64, 3.37 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
