Greenville Restaurant Week 2024 expanding to Anderson. What to know and where to go

From casual to formal dining, Greenville Restaurant Week 2024 will go through Jan. 21, with more than 50 food establishments offering discounted menu items to promote the many tastes within the Upstate.

The 11-day event started on Jan. 11 and is presented by The South Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association (SCRLA), which will offer discounts on brunch, lunch and dinner. Food options include seasonal proteins and rootsy vegetables ranging between $5-to-$70 depending on the restaurant and courses offered.

In the 14th annual statewide Restaurant Week, a handful of additional new restaurants, including The Walkabout and Connor Flynn's join the festivities. Also, five eateries in Anderson County are now part of an added 50-mile radius from downtown Greenville.

"We were approached by the city of Anderson and Greenville restaurant owners about bringing them aboard, and we've got an appetite for them," said Lenza Jolley, vice president of membership and development of The SCRLA. "After the holidays, people are practicing New Year's resolutions, being budget conscious, and have health goals, so this is a way to draw people out to our local restaurant scene."

Participants can expect vegan, gluten-free, and more health-sensitive options. Menus are available on the Greenville Dining Week website.

Best practices, tips for dining out during Greenville/Anderson Restaurant Week 2024

  • Always plan and make reservations because many Upstate residents are planning to dine out during this period.

  • Be mindful of what restaurants offer under Restaurant Week deals, and check the website or call to ensure the deals are accurate and still available.

  • Practice patience with the hospitality staff because shortages, capacity and other in-house issues may cause a delay in service.
