Gregory is 9A's new No. 1: See where everyone else landed in the South Dakota football media poll
Unbeaten Gregory is 9A's new No. 1 team in the South Dakota high school football media polls. The Gorillas are off to a 2-0 start and replace Canistota, who have dropped each of their last two games following a strong start in their season-opener for the newly-independent program.
In Class 11AAA, Harrisburg entered the rankings at No. 5 and Rapid City Stevens rose one spot to No. 4. Mitchell entered at No. 5 in Class 11AA, Beresford entered at No. 4 in Class 11A and Mount Vernon/Plankinton entered at No. 5 in Class 11B.
The South Dakota Prep Media football polls for the week of Sept. 5 are listed below, ranking the top-five teams in each class, record, total points and previous ranking. First-place votes received are indicated in parentheses.
