Here are Grice’s Gems, the top North Carolina high school football performances from Week 10, from The Observer’s Talking Preps show.

Cuttler Adams, Robbinsville: In a 26-20 win over Hayesville, Adams ran 15 times for 182 yards and three touchdowns. For the season, Adams has run 165 times for 1,065 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Braden Atkinson, Rolesville: Completed 25-of-27 passes for 513 yards and four touchdowns in a 75-27 win over Wake Forest. Running back Devon Thomas, a candidate for Mr. Football, the NC high school football player of the year, ran 22 times for 235 yards and six scores.

Cale Lloyd, Southwest Guilford: In a 33-19 win over Jamestown Ragsale, Lloyd completed eight of 15 passes for 272 yards and three touchdowns. He averaged 34 yards per completion.

Turbo Richard, Rock Hill Northwestern: In a 64-31 win over city rival South Pointe, Richard ran 16 times for 186 yards and three touchdowns. Northwestern won its eighth straight game and won a share of a region title.

Markel Summers, Davie County: In a 40-33 win over Parkland, the senior running back carried 37 times for 299 yards and three touchdowns. He caught three passes for 38 yards.

Week 9 Gems

Bryce Baker, East Forsyth: The UNC-bound quarterback was 15-of-20 for 230 yards and five touchdowns in a 52-0 win over Winston-Salem Reynolds.

Gabe Bolivar, Pine Lake Prep: In a 60-44 win over Winston-Salem Carver, Bolivar ran 37 times for 416 yards and six touchdowns. He had two 2-point conversions, scoring 40 total points. That’s the No. 24 rushing performance in NCHSAA history and a school and Iredell County record. Boliver, who has a 4.56 GPA and a 34 ACT, also set new school records for single-season rushing yards (2,029) as well as rushing TDs in a season (23).

Caman Chaplin, West Forsyth: The senior running back ran 37 times for 365 yards and five touchdowns in a 50-42 win over Davie County.

Anthony Hawkins, Hickory Grove: Hawkins set a school-record with 24 carries for 343 yards rushing plus five touchdowns in a 54-28 win over Asheville Christian. Hawkins tied for the 12th most yards in Mecklenburg County history. Hawkins’ 21 rushing TDs this season breaks the school-record he set last season.

Ny’Tavious Huskey, Crest: In a 42-7 win over Forestview, Huskey completed 25-of-31 passes for 375 yards and six touchdowns. For the season, Huskey has thrown for 2,483 yards and 31 touchdowns against just four interceptions.

Christian Rutledge, South View: The running back ran 27 times for 306 yards and three touchdowns in a 62-14 win over Gray’s Creek.
