Griggs picks up AAC weekly honors

Memphis, Tenn. – University of Memphis women’s basketball fifth-year senior Madison Griggs earned her first American Athletic Conference (AAC) Weekly Honor Roll nod this season following a 20-point performance on Saturday.

The Memphis native led the team with her seventh 20-point performance this season after going 6-for-13 from long range in the team’s 80-79 overtime victory against Tulane. Griggs, who was the only player for both squads to play all 45 minutes, added three steals and one block.

Griggs currently leads the AAC in minutes played by a near two-minute average, ranks first in three-point field goals made per game (3.0), sixth in scoring average (16.8) and seventh in both steals per game (1.7) and three-point field goal percentage (.349).

Memphis is on the road this week for a swing in North Carolina at Charlotte on Wednesday and East Carolina on Saturday. Coverage for both games can be found on ESPN+.
