Grizzlies' Dillon Brooks, Jaren Jackson Jr. team up for insane, off-the-backboard dunk

The Memphis Grizzlies didn't waste time catching fire against the Houston Rockets on Friday. The Grizzlies scored 83 points in the first half, the second-most points in any half in franchise history.

Dillon Brooks and Jaren Jackson Jr. had the play of the half when they teamed up for an off-the-backboard alley-oop dunk. Brooks served it up to Jackson and as Jackson dunked, Brooks raced down the court with his tongue out and encouraged the crowd at FedExForum to get even louder.

It was Brooks' first game back from a one-game suspension after picking up his 18th technical foul. And the Grizzlies' "Villain" didn't miss a beat with a perfect pass that had Ja Morant roaring off the bench in approval.

Grizzlies analyst Brevin Knight was in disbelief as he said on-air, "Oh, no, he didn't do that." To which play-by-play announcer Pete Pranica responded, "Yes, he did. Yes, he did."

It was the highlight of a 41-point second quarter after the Grizzlies scored 42 in the first. With Morant back, the Grizzlies look like their old selves having fun on a Friday night and bringing their home fans to their feet.
