🌱 Grocery Store Theft + Governor Announces New COVID-19 Measures

  1. Glen Burnie police department is investigating a theft at a grocery store last Friday. The incident took place at the Giant Food located at 7940 Crain Highway. No weapons were used during the crime. No suspects are under custody and the crime continues to be under investigation. The police are asking anybody with information to call 410-222-4720.   2. Gov. Larry Hogan announced new COVID-19 measures. In his speech, he announced that some local hospital parking lots will be used as COVID-19 test sites, including UM Baltimore. He also affirmed the state will distribute 20 million free N95 and KN95 masks to the public at nursing homes, local health departments, and state-run testing and vaccination sites. (w2marnews)

  3. Tyler Heights Elementary School Principal Julia Walsh was nominated by Arundel County Public Schools as Principal of the Year. Students surprised Heights in the classroom with a cheer and signs of congratulations. (Patch)

  4. Anne Arundel Library and its branches will be closed on Jan. 17, in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. (AAC Library)
