Sept. 2, 16 and 30

Enjoy Friday evenings, 4-9 p.m., at the Heart of Grove City Food Trucks & Shop Hop. Travel on culinary adventures and enjoy specials from great establishments while relaxing in the Town Center. Learn more at heartofgrovecity.org.

Sept. 2, 23 and 30

The Grove City Concert Summer Sizzle Series entertainment continues from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays,with Lee Gantt Band, Rezes-Hall Band and Lords of Literature in Town Center Park, 3359 Park St.

Sept. 3 and 10

Browse through a cornucopia of produce, flowers, plants and homemade baked goods in the open-air Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce Farmers’ Market in historic Grove City Town Center, 3444 Park St., from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

Sept. 7, 14, 21 and 28

Take part in a series of free outdoor fitness events at Grove City Fitness in the Park, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursdays, designed to encourage physical activity and healthful lifestyles. Join the Grove City YMCA and Grove City Parks and Recreation for such classes as Zumba, Bootcamp, Pound and Bodypump. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to join at Town Center Park, 3359 Park St.

Sept. 10

The Heart of Grove City Car Show, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., east of Town Center Park, features a variety of classic cars to appeal to automotive enthusiasts. Learn more at heartofgrovecity.org.

Sept. 9-17

Participate in the Grove City 170th-anniversary celebration,as history-inspired events and activities are hosted at various venues throughout the city. Join the American Legion Post 164, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8198, Jackson Township Fire Department and Grove City Division of Police for Patriot Day, 9/11 Prayer and Remembrance Ceremony at 8:30 a.m. Sept.11 at Jackson Township Fire Station 204, 4900 Buckeye Parkway.

Sept. 16-18

Arts in the Alley

Join the community at the 43rd annual Arts in the Alley Music and Arts Festival, 5-9 p.m. Sept. 16, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Sept. 17 and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 18; parade 9:30 a.m. Sept. 17 hosted by the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce, with juried exhibitors displaying and selling fine art, photography, jewelry, crafts, fabric art, glasswork, pottery and wood creations.

Artists are invited to enter their work in the annual art shows, including the Grove City Easel Award, fine arts, crafts, photography, quilt and kids art. Entertainment features the Voice of Grove City participants, a festival contest featuring talented vocalists. Learn more at gcchamber.org.

Murder on the Orient Express

Community Shredding Day

Bring your documents for shredding at the Fall Paper Shredding Day, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 24 at Park Street Intermediate School, 3205 Park St.

SWACO Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off

The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio hosts the annual Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Kingston Center, 3226 Kingston Ave. Find a detailed list of accepted items on the SWACO website, swaco.org.

Southwest Franklin County Historical Society Open House

Grove City Community Club Fall Harvest Market
