Grover, Rippel, Jones earn first team All-Mid-Buckeye Conference in girls basketball

MANSFIELD — They were three of the best girls basketball players in the Mid-Buckeye Conference all season long.

And they were rewarded for it. Mansfield Christian's Alexis Rippel and Kyleah Jones joined Lucas' Shelby Grover as first team All-MBC players as announced by the league.

Grover averaged 22 points and added 9.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists a game during her senior year.

Rippel scored 17.9 points and added 4.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists while Jones scored 13.3 points and grabbed 12.2 rebounds a game for a solid double-double average.

Grover was joined by teammates Katie Griffey (second team) and Olivia Brown (honorable mention) while Mansfield Christian's Abby Little (second team) and Raegan Standridge (second team) also earned all-league honors for the 2022-23 season.
