A growing coffee chain is bringing a new shop to Columbia. Check out where it’s going

A coffee chain that has grown in the Carolinas and the Midlands is adding a new location in northeast Columbia.

Clutch Coffee Bar announced on its Facebook page that it will be opening a new drive-thru coffee shop at 9349 Two Notch Road in Columbia. That’s just northeast of Interstate 77, near Sesquicentennial State Park.

The company noted that the Two Notch shop will be the 10th Clutch location. The chain has spots in North Carolina and South Carolina, including locations on Columbia Avenue in Lexington and on Devine Street in Columbia.

Clutch’s menu is highlighted by a number of mochas, lattes, energy drinks and shakes, as well as some food items. Among the drinks is a mocha called the Base Jumper, which the Clutch website calls a “caramel + chocolate adrenaline rush.” It’s food menu includes, among other things, a variety of muffins.

The Two Notch Road Clutch location is coming to a bustling thoroughfare. About 37,000 cars per day travel down that stretch of Two Notch, per state Department of Transportation statistics.
