Topping the list is bakery Sebastian Joe's, which offers ice cream, frozen yogurt, coffee, tea and more. Located at 1007 W. Franklin Ave., it's the highest rated business in the neighborhood, boasting 4.5 stars out of 381 reviews on Yelp.

Scoop one of this spot's seven signature ice cream flavors, such as raspberry chocolate chip, Oreo, vanilla or salty caramel. Baked goods like dessert bars and chocolate-filled croissants are also available, the recipes for which have been handed down through the generations.

Next up is diner, traditional American and breakfast and brunch spot The Lowry, situated at 2112 Hennepin Ave. With four stars out of 634 reviews on Yelp, it's proven to be a local favorite.

The brainchild of David Burley and Stephanie Shimp, The Lowry opened in 2011 as an upscale urban diner. With an eclectic combination including burgers, oysters, eggs and sandwiches, there is something at The Lowry to satisfy most any palate.

Specific menu options include baked, raw and fried oysters; the flagship Lowry Burger complete with ground beef, fried onions, barbecue sauce and cheddar cheese; and fish and chips with lemon and tartar sauce.
