Easter is just around the corner. That means Easter egg hunts and bunny visits.

Here's a rundown of Easter-related activities happening in Tuscarawas County:

Baltic

The Baltic Easter egg hunt will be at 1 p.m. April 8 at Village Park. The event is for children up to age 10. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. For more information, visit Baltic Easter Egg Hunt on Facebook.

Bolivar

Children can visit the Tuscarawas County Public Library System’s Bolivar Branch, 455 W. Water St., at 10:30 a.m. April 1 to hear a presentation from Nonna’s Bunny Farm about their Flemish giant rabbits. The Easter egg hunt will begin at 11 a.m. For more information, call the Bolivar Public Library at 330-874-2720.

Dennison

Roxford Church, 771 Roxford Church Road, will have an Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. April 8 for children up to age 12. Children should bring a basket to collect eggs. There will be games, stories, prizes and refreshments. Call 330-343-5359 for more information

Dover

  • The Tuscarawas County YMCA, 600 Monroe St., will hold an egg dive from 6 to 8 p.m. March 31. The event will include swimming for eggs, duck racing in the pool, visits and photos with the Easter Bunny, and a coloring contest. Activities are geared toward children age 6 months through grade 6. Parents must accompany their non-swimmers in the water. Registration for the event is limited and is going on through March 28. The cost is $5 per child for Y members, and $10 per child for community members. Register in person at the YMCA or at tuscymca.org.   • Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will be from 9 to 11 a.m. April 1 at the Tuscarawas County Senior Center, 425 Prospect St. There will be raffles and a breakfast buffet. Bring your camera for photos with the Easter Bunny. Tickets: Adults, $7; kids ages 3 to 12, $5; kids 2 and younger, free. No tickets will be sold at the door.   • The Dover Public Library will have an outdoor Easter egg hunt (weather permitting) at 2 p.m. April 1 for children 1 to 11 years old. Children will be divided into age groups and should bring their own baskets or bags. They will search for more than 1,000 eggs filled with a small prize, and children who find golden eggs can turn them in for a special prize. Newcomerstown

  • The Home Plate Project, a faith-based nonprofit group, will have its Easter Experience at 10 a.m. March 25 at Lee Stadium at Newcomerstown High School, 1 Woody Hayes Drive. The free event will include chances to win bicycles, gift baskets and other prizes. There will be more than 20,000 eggs for children to find, plus other games. A Chick-fil-A food truck will be on site.

  • Newcomerstown Elks 1555 will host an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. April 1 at Cy Young Park, 591 N. College St., with four divisions based on age: Under 2, 3-4, 5-7 and 8-10. There will be Reese's peanut butter eggs for all children. The eggs will have either candy or money, and two golden eggs per age group will receive an Easter basket. The story and meaning of Easter will be explained under the pavilions prior to the event.

  • The Newcomerstown Public Library will host an Easter Story Hop from noon to 3 p.m. April 7 at Cy Young Park, 591 N. College St. The free event will include a story walk, prizes, Easter eggs and free pictures with the Easter Bunny. For more information, call 740-498-8228.

New Philadelphia

  • Boltz Market, 522 Hummel Valley Road SW, will have an Easter egg hunt from 2 to 4 p.m. April 2. The cost is $5. A ticket guarantees a goodie bag, three special eggs, raffle ticket for the prizes, and entry to the hunt. There are four age groups: 0-2, 3-5, 6-9, and 10-12. This is a rain-or-shine event. In the event of bad weather, goodie bags and eggs will be distributed in a drive-thru event. Raffle drawing winners will be notified by phone.   • New Towne Mall, 400 Mill Ave. SE, will offer visits and photos with the Easter Bunny from March 24 through April 8. Visit the bunny in Center Court near the fountain from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.   • Sensitive Bunny will be at New Towne Mall from 10 to 11:30 a.m. March 26. Sensitive Bunny welcomes guests with special needs to a bunny photo experience supportive of sensory, physical, and developmental needs. Sensitive Bunny will take place at the Easter set located in Center Court near the fountain.   • The Park Place Youth Center Easter Egg Coloring Event will be from 4 to 6 p.m. April 7 at Tuscora Park, 161 Tuscora Ave. NW. The event is $5 per person for six eggs and six dye colors, as well as stickers and other ways to decorate the eggs. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, because the dye can stain. Somerdale

The Fairfield Township Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Easter egg hunt and spaghetti dinner April 2 at the fire station, 6288 Firehouse St. The Easter egg hunt begins at 11 a.m. for children ages 3-12 (weather permitting), with several age categories. Children should bring their own baskets to collect their eggs. The spaghetti dinner will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes spaghetti with meat sauce, salad bar, bread, beverages and a variety of desserts. Dinner is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 4-12, and free for children 3 and younger. The option for salad bar only is $7. All proceeds benefit the Fairfield Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Strasburg

  • The Strasburg Lions Club will host an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. April 8 at Franklin Park. Children will be divided into groups: ages 2-3. 4-5.6-7 and 8-9. Children should bring their own basket.

  • Children can visit the Tuscarawas County Public Library System’s Strasburg Branch, 356 Fifth St., at 10:30 a.m. March 29 to listen to a story, search for specific-colored eggs, and receive a gift bag of goodies. For more information, call the Strasburg Public Library at 330-878-5711.

Sugarcreek

Children can visit the Tuscarawas County Public Library System’s Sugarcreek Branch, 120 S. Broadway St., at 10:30 a.m. April 1 for a special storytime event, with an Easter egg hunt to follow. For more information, call the Sugarcreek Public Library at 330-852-2813

Walnut Creek

The annual community Easter egg hunt in Walnut Creek will begin at 10 a.m. April 1 on the campus of Walnut Hills Retirement Community, 4748 Olde Pump St. Families should come by 9:15 a.m. to register for the hunt and to participate in added activities, including face painting and photos with the Easter Bunny. There will be refreshments and prizes. The hunt is open to children from preschool to grade 4. Children should dress for the weather; the egg hunt will be held rain or shine.
