A guide to fish fries and Lenten dinners in Columbus

As Lent approaches, many Christians will be giving up meat on Fridays and instead opting for seafood options. One popular choice for many during this time of year is the classic fish fry.

Area churches and religious organizations are honoring the longstanding tradition by providing fish fries and dinners throughout Lent, which this year takes place from Feb. 22 (or Feb. 28 in the Eastern Orthodox Church) to mid-March. Not to mention, non-observers can still enjoy the convenience and often economical meals being served.
