Your guide to Fretwell's grand opening ☀️🍻🌭
Hello, Spartanburg foodies!
Spartanburg's new outdoor dining and recreation destination Fretwell is holding its grand opening this weekend. I met with Fretwell partner Laura Stille and Little River Roasting Co. Marketing Director Daniel Hagerman Tuesday to get the scoop on what you need to know about Fretwell's grand opening weekend:

Here's what you need to know:
►Fretwell will be celebrating with a three-day grand opening starting today June 24 through June 26 from 12-9 p.m each day.
►There will be live music performances from 6-8:30 p.m. each day: The Millwrites will perform Friday; Emily: With Strings Attached will perform Saturday, and Howl in the Valley will perform Sunday.
►There are some shared yard games available to keep the kids busy like cornhole, cross net, hula hoops, and sidewalk chalk.
►The grand opening will feature a number of local food trucks from 3 p.m. on each day, including The Hangry Dog, Carolina Gourmet Snowballs, Sugar Shack, and Lulu's Tacos. (Side note: I wrote a story about the father and daughter team behind The Hangry Dog that came out Sunday evening — give it a read below!)

►The Spartan, one of Fretwell's permanent vendors will serve its menu of snacks and small bites throughout the event. Favorites so far include their Traveling Taco, premium grilled cheese sandwiches, charcuterie boxes, and personal pizzas.
► And there are more events to look forward to! Fretwell will be hosting an outdoor viewing of Independence Day on July 3 fr 9-11 p.m. with concessions at The Spartan.

Eat well, friends!
