Guide to pumpkin spice season in Chillicothe

CHILLICOTHE― Fall is right around the corner, but pumpkin spice season has already made its return to Chillicothe.

While pumpkin-flavored coffee and pastries are at the forefront of the season, other fall flavors are also making a comeback. Whether you're looking for a place to go on your morning coffee run or options for a Chillicothe pumpkin food tour, here's a guide on where to get your pumpkin spice fix.

Local Pumpkin Spice

New System Bakery, 125 Western Ave., is offering an assortment of fall-themed pastries like pumpkin strudel muffins, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and pumpkin cream cheese cinnamon rolls. In honor of the spooky season, the bakery is also offering Halloween sugar cookies.

Rost Coffee, 107 E 2nd St., is offering a homemade pumpkin sauce for pumpkin spice lattes, along with an autumn Shakerato, a type of espresso drink, with maple syrup, cinnamon and clove. Both drinks are available hot or iced. The shop will also have a variety of pumpkin and fall-themed pastries through thanksgiving.

Livy Cakes & Two Roasting Joes, 659 N High St., is offering a variety of fall coffee flavors like Pumpkinilla, a blend of pumpkin, vanilla and carmel, pumpkin pie and Drunkin Pumpkin, a pumpkin and bourbon flavor. Fall-themed pastry offerings include pumpkin spice cookies, pumpkin cupcakes and pumpkin bars.

High Five Cakes, 81 N Paint St., is offering pumpkin spice bubble tea and pumpkin spice cupcakes, along with other fall-themed baked goods.

Later this month, Paper City Coffee, 47 S Paint St., will be offering an array of pumpkin-flavored drinks, including coffee, tea and more.

Blondie & Brew-Latte Cafe is a new business located at 36 W Water St. that is opening later this month. Owner Kelly Bigelow said the cafe will have pumpkin spices lattes and other fall drinks ready upon opening.

Chain Pumpkin Spice

Starbucks is offering its typical lineup of fall drinks with pumpkin cream cold brew, pumpkin cream cheese muffin, pumpkin and pepita loaf, pumpkin scone and, of course, the infamous pumpkin spice latte.

The chain is also offering other fall favorites, like the apple crisp oatmeal macchiato and a pumpkin cream cheese muffin.

Tim Hortons is offering pumpkin spice flavored lattes, Iced Capps, cream cold brew with cold foam, glazed donuts, muffins and more.

Dunkin' is offering pumpkin cream cold brew, coffee and latte, along with pumpkin flavored donuts and muffins. Other fall items include the maple sugar bacon breakfast sandwich and the blood orange Dunkin’ Refresher.
