GREENVILLE – Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. is hiring for more than 200 jobs as it's again expanding its Appleton-area facility.

Gulfstream announced Thursday a $55 million investment at its facility at Appleton International Airport in Greenville. The company is building a “world-class aircraft paint facility” in Greenville, according to a press release.

The 73,000-square-foot aircraft paint facility will start operations in the third quarter of 2023, the release said. It will allow for the painting of up to 48 aircraft a year. With the completion of the facility, Gulfstream will be able to perform the entire aircraft completions process in Greenville.

The investment is to meet customer demand and growth in its fleet, according to Gulfstream.

“The investment in our Appleton facility is a key part of our overall strategy to provide our customers with industry leading completions and support worldwide,” Gulfstream president Mark Burns said.

Gulfstream announced that it will host a job fair from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. June 9 at the Greenville facility at N687 Discovery Drive.

The aircraft paint facility is the latest in a series of projects for Gulfstream in Greenville. In December, the company completed a $7 million remodel and expansion of a hangar where crews finish building new planes. The expansion was expected to create about 200 jobs. Gulfstream also added 200 jobs when it expanded its facility’s completions operations last February. Gulfstream’s Greenville facility opened in 2019.

Gulfstream said it's hiring for positions such as engineers, mechanics and avionics technicians.

“We are in a period of rapid growth and are currently hiring for a wide range of positions,” Gulfstream vice president of completions L.D. Buerger said. “We are excited about this expansion and the opportunity to recruit and hire new talent to join the Gulfstream team at our Appleton facility.”

The Greenville facility currently has 990 full-time employees, Gulfstream director of public and media relations Christian Flathman told The Post-Crescent.
