With football season in full force, it's only a few more weeks before the weather will get cooler and ripe for gumbo eating.

While it may still be too warm out for some to make it at home, there are plenty of local restaurants offering tasty bowls of the good stuff.

Here are 11 places in Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes that are ready to serve you a great bowl of gumbo.

Lumiere Blues & Jazz Bistro
