'Gun-free' music festival in Israel an 'abhorrent invitation to open slaughter'

Gun control in Israel has been successful to the point that only 1.5% to 2 % of Israeli citizens reportedly own personal weapons. The tragic events in Israel demonstrate that a populous unable to defend themselves because of ownership restrictions cannot prevail. Reports of a few armed citizens stopping their attackers were infrequent and barely reported.

The worst civilian murders occurred at a required "gun-free" music festival. The event was actually promoted for days as "gun-free". What an abhorrent invitation to open slaughter.

Can you think of any parallels now in our country? As our open borders policies have enabled countless numbers of unknown military-age males to enter our country and spread out into every state, when will some of them or even one of them decide to attack? And what "gun-free" target will they choose?

It is reported that Israel is loosening their gun controls so that citizens can now arm themselves and they are reacting. Many states have recently enacted steps so that their lawful citizens can now carry their self-defense arms without having to fear prosecution.

It's time that all states enact the same allowances so that travel between states can proceed in accordance with our constitutional right. Every school needs to allow trained teachers and administrators to be armed, ending the draw of a "gun-free" zone for those wanting to slaughter our children. The school boards that hesitate because "we're just not there yet" need to wake up. We're there.
