Gun safety advocates push for ban of ghost guns in Maryland

Gun safety advocates held a rally Tuesday in Annapolis to push for a bill that would ban ghost guns. Ghost guns refer to homemade firearms that do not have a serial number. They can be assembled by a kit in under an hour. Maryland Moms Demand Action held a rally at Lawyer's Mall, calling for the passage of the legislation it has tried to advance for five years. But unlike previous bills, this one calls for an outright ban on the devices and owning one would become illegal by January 2023.
