Gun violence victim praises new California gun bill

Mia Tretta appeared with Gov. Gavin Newsom Friday in Santa Monica as he signed a controversial, first-of-its-kind gun control law . "I'm a gun violence survivor," she said at the news conference. Tretta shared her story of how she almost died in a school shooting when she was a freshman at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita. A classmate opened fire in Nov. 2019, killing three students and injuring three others.
