Gunfire and no injuries reported Sunday in Sauk Rapids

SAUK RAPIDS - Gunfire but no injuries were reported in Sauk Rapids early Sunday, according to the Sauk Rapids Police Department.

Officers heard reports of gunfire at 2:06 a.m. Sunday at 415 Benton Drive N, near El Loro Restaurant. People in the area also made calls to the Benton County Dispatch Center to report gunfire.

Most people had left the area by the time officers arrived. It was reported there was a fight and then witnesses heard gunshots, but it is unknown who fired the weapon, according to the department. Several shell casings were found in the parkinglot but no victims were found.
