Guns, drugs, stolen items seized in Friday Colon raid
COLON — Michigan State Police arrested a 43-year-old Colon man and a 44-year-old Mendon woman during the execution of a search warrant in Colon Friday morning.
MSP Detective Sgt. Matt Berry said troopers investigating a recent Branch County theft found probable cause for the search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of E. State Street, just west of downtown.
Troopers seized firearms, narcotics, and other related items.
The MSP Emergency Support Team and the Southwest Enforcement Team assisted Marshall Post troopers.
Troopers requested multiple charges from the St. Joseph County prosecutor.

The names of the two people lodged in the St. Joseph County Jail will not be released until charges are filed and they are arraigned.
Berry said the investigation is continuing.
