Guns N' Roses is about to make more money in Cincinnati: Creating a Bengals music playlist

"The Bengals Growl" is not on Spotify or Apple Music.

But that shouldn't stop the most loyal Bengals fan from creating a playlist to blare at a football watch party, Kansas City tailgate or just doing everyday things like driving to work.

But what songs, from the obvious to the not so obvious, need to be in that Bengals playlist?

The last time the Bengals played in the AFC Championship Game, when they beat the Buffalo Bills at Riverfront Stadium on Jan. 8, 1989, Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" was the No. 1 song on the charts.

No? Was it something I said or something I did? Did the words not come out right

Though I tried not to hurt you?

OK, moving on.

Here are some songs every Bengals fan should consider for their playlist.

"Welcome to the Jungle": Guns N' Roses

If you need this explained, then maybe you're just now hopping on the bandwagon, which is great.

"Welcome to the Jungle" was released in 1987 and was one of the biggest songs in the world when the Bengals began their 1988 run to the Super Bowl.

And it's probably the reason we call Paul Brown Stadium "The Jungle," have the "Ruler of the Jungle" and #rulethejungle.

It's played before all the kickoffs, and pretty much after one half of football at Paul Brown Stadium you're likely to turn to that annoying opposing fan next to you and yell, "You know where you are? You're in the jungle, baby!"

"Eye of the Tiger": Survivor

Bengals are tigers. The Bengals have tiger stripes on their helmets. It's pretty cool. The song is called "Eye of the Tiger" and is the theme for one of the greatest sports movies ever put on film.

Rise up and put that in the playlist and don't change your Bengals passion for glory.

"Bang the Drum All Day": Todd Rundgren

Scene:

The Bengals have scored a touchdown ... music plays as Ja'Marr Chase does the Griddy... it's Bang the Drum All Day.

End scene

That's right. This is the song that is typically played right after those officials' arms rise up and the Bengals have crossed the end zone.

Rundgren's classic was released in 1983 and the Bengals share this ditty with the Green Bay Packers and the Indianapolis Colts as touchdown celebration songs (there was a time when this was not the song for the Bengals, but it was in the 2000s and has been since 2017).

Because why not? By the ninth time of hearing the chorus, you'll understand.

"Fear Da Tiger": Bootsy Collins

OK, "The Bengals Growl" may not be on Spotify, but you better believe Bootsy Collins' "Fear Da Tiger" is available there and on Apple Music.

Collins recently updated the song this year, because why wouldn't he?

Collins is the funkiest Bengals fan. He was in Parliament-Funkadelic for crying out loud. And he is also a Cincinnatian.

"Joe Burrow": Lil Gav

Yes, Lil Gav is a rapper. He has a song called "Joe Burrow" and it's a modern day classic that predicts the Bengals winning the 2022 Super Bowl.

He compares Burrow to Jesus in the song.

Some people will be praying to both on Sunday against the Chiefs.

"Jungle Boogie": Kool & the Gang

In 2014, the Enquirer tracked which songs were played the most during a Bengals game when we tried to make a playlist then.

"Welcome to the Jungle" was played 11 times (must have been some game -- it was a 37-37 tie with the Carolina Panthers) and "Jungle Boogie" was played after every extra point.

(Gong noise, screaming intensifies)

The 1973 hit was from the band's "Wild and Peaceful" album.

Hey, that game also featured an instrumental of a Nickelback song after every touchdown that year.

Can't make that up. Probably don't need a Nickelback song in your playlist.

"Hells Bells": AC/DC

For some grizzled Bengals fans, the sound of the third down bells tolling in Paul Brown Stadium causes flashbacks to every third down conversions converted over the years. But AC/DC is the song that's played before every third down for the Bengals' defense.

Now, the Bengals aren't unique to having The Undertaker-like bells playing before third downs (Ohio State Buckeyes, looking at you). But it is the Australian rock band's 1980 song that is playing, though we hardly, if ever, get to the to "Hells Bells" chorus and guitar licks.

Other Bengals playlist options to consider:

• "Hang on Sloopy": The McCoys: It's played at Bengals games and it's the official rock song of Ohio.

• "Jump Around": House of Pain: Is it too cliché to have this one on here? I don't know, did you come to win? Word to your moms, Joe Burrow came to drop bombs.

• "Thunderstruck": AC/DC: Is this not on every football playlist?

• "Run through the Jungle": Creedence Clearwater revival: "Jungle" is in the title, check. Cool guitar lick, check. Threatening tone but easily singable? Check. (Bruce Springsteen's "Jungleland, isn't doing that)
