Guy Fieri is cooking up some high standards if his kids have a desire to inherit any of his wealth.

The “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” host, 55, told Fox News earlier this month that, just like his father before him, he has no intention of bequeathing his reported $70 million net worth to sons Hunter, 27, or Ryder, 17, unless they pursue postgraduate degrees.

“I told them the same thing my dad told me: ‘When I die, you can expect that I’m gonna die broke, and you’re gonna be paying for the funeral,'” Fieri revealed. “I told my boys, ‘None of this that I’ve been building are you gonna get unless you come and take it from me.'”

The Food Network star had a delicious retort to Ryder claiming the condition is “so unfair,” especially given he’s still got several months of high school to go.

“[Ryder says], ‘I haven’t even gone to college yet and you’re already pushing that I gotta get an MBA. Can I just get through college?'” Fieri said.

“I’m like, hey, you know … Shaq said it best. … He said, ‘If you want this cheese, you gotta give me two degrees. Well, my two degrees mean postgraduate, so they’re on their way.”

Along with Hunter and Ryder, the TV personality also helped raise his nephew, Jules, following his sister’s death in 2011. And Jules, it seems, is the closest to inheriting any money.

“He’s in the law program at Loyola Marymount,” Fieri shared. “If you’re gonna be a big-time entertainment agent, you need that law background.”

Fieri’s remarks come shortly after news broke that Fieri signed a new multiyear deal with the Food Network for a jaw-dropping $100 million.
