Guy Fieri Pens Love Letter to Burgers on National Cheeseburger Day
For those who think there isn't a real relationship between people and their food .. you haven't heard Guy Fieri describe his love of cheeseburgers.
The Mayor of Flavortown honored one of his most beloved meals on Wednesday, as September 18 is also known as National Cheeseburger Day.
Taking to Instagram, The "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" host wrote:
"Dearest Cheeseburger - You’re a beautiful combination of ingredients. You form the foundation of many menus across this country. You’re a blue collar dish with incredible versatility. This is your day - have a wonderful #nationalcheeseburgerday - Your friend, Guy"
He added, " ...PS: I love you."

Even though Guy Fieri is singing about his love for cheeseburgers, the Food Network star has been all about chicken sandwiches after opening his second Chicken Guy! location in Miami, FL.
Fieri is capitalizing on the chicken craze that caused restaurants, like Popeyes, to run out of their infamous chicken sandwiches.
When asked about what the cluck is up with his joint, Fieri explained, “It’s the fried chicken, is what it is. We talk about comfort food… every culture has got a fried chicken in one way or another. Everybody can get down with fried chicken.”
Along with chicken, Fieri's restaurant boasts up to 20 different types of special sauces, including Wasabi Honey, Ranchero, Curry Mayo ... and Donkey Sauce.
Fieri partnered with Planet Hollywood founder & CEO, Robert Earl to open the first location last year in Disney Springs in Orlando, and more locations are on the way.
