PORT ST. LUCIE — The mayor of Flavortown is coming to the Treasure Coast.

Guy Fieri will host an event 5-7 p.m. Thursday at his Knuckle Sandwich Cigars at Smoke Inn Port St. Lucie. This will be at least his second visit to the Treasure Coast this year.

“Guy Fieri is the type of person that everyone relates to easily," Smoke Inn proprietor Abe Dababneh said in a news release. "His persona, hard work and dedication is what drove him into the homes and hearts of people worldwide. That same passion is now being delivered to the hearts of cigar aficionados with his Knuckle Sandwich cigar lines. We are honored and privileged that Guy will meet and greet fans at our Port St. Lucie location.”

Fieri began collaborating with Erik Espinosa of Espinosa Premium Cigars in 2020. Knuckle Sandwich Cigars were released in 2022, offering three types of cigars in the core line — the Habano, Maduro and Connecticut.

What are the cigars made of?

The tobaccos are made at La Zona factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, owned by Espinosa. They use Nicaraguan tobacco as filler and a variety of Ecuadorian tobacco leaves for the cigar wrappers.

Habano leaves are grown from Cuban-seed tobacco, Maduro leaves are grown from Sumatra-seed tobacco and Connecticut leaves are grown in Ecuador Connecticut-seed tobacco in Ecuador.
