Food Network may be keeping details on its latest Guy Fieri show under wraps, but recently, the platinum-spiked one himself spilled some serious insights - and for anyone who's ever watched Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and thought I could "I could totally do that," this news is huge.

It's been hinted that the series, called Guy's Big Project, will be a blend of coaching and competition, but in a recent interview with Pop Sugar, Fieri elaborated: "It's me bringing on eight contestants and helping them achieve their dream," he said. "There will be eliminations. It's gotta be who really learns the fastest. We're going to take them, and put them through a variety of challenges for their education."

In the end, the winner (or winners, as that part's unclear) will get the opportunity to host their own show. If that sounds exactly like Food Network Star, only helmed entirely by Fieri, you're not wrong. Only in his version, he's looking specifically for people who love to eat and are willing to travel the world to do so - all while the cameras are rolling, according to Food Network's casting page.

Fieri says he'll be focusing on teaching food lovers to think like chefs and producers - a skill he learned the hard way after winning FNS years ago. He's part mentor, part fairy godfather.

"This is life dream sh*t," he told Pop Sugar. "When you can be the person that's helping someone achieve a life goal, it's big and deep. It's meaningful."

Ina Garten isn't the only one debuting a new show this year. You'll be seeing a lot more of Guy Fieri too, as the platinum-haired chef combines the two shows he's famous for into the kind of mash-up you've come to expect from the inventor of Gringo Sushi.

The series, tentatively called Guy's Big Project, will have Fieri select a chef from the dozens he's met over the years filming Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, and work with him or her (or them, potentially) to develop a whole new show, according to Eater. Though few details have been announced so far, the series sounds like a blend of coaching-meets-competition, a la Food Network Star, the show that introduced him to the world (and made his signature hairstyle, well, his signature) and obviously, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, the 26-seasons-and-still-going-strong food tour of America he launched a decade ago.

The news was revealed during Scripps Networks' upfront, a preview for advertisers of the types of content its channels - Food Network, Cooking Channel, and HGTV among them - had planned for the year. So far, an airdate hasn't been announced for Guy's Big Project, but we'll update this story as we know more.
