Guy in pile of puppies is National Puppy Day perfection

Saturday, May 23, marks that most glorious of all holidays: National Puppy Day. Founded in 2006 by animal advocate Cindy Paige in part to promote shelter adoption, it’s become an annual international internet phenomenon. It’s also the greatest excuse ever to watch puppy videos.

One of our favorites captures pure bliss by way of a Golden Retriever cuddle pile in an Instagram post from earlier this year. Jason from Germany, a visitor to Utah-based Golden Retriever breeder Sunnyside Goldens, can’t help smiling while under attack from a little furry family with a penchant for licking. The encounter was on Jason’s bucket list according to the breeder’s post. Sign us up for that snuggle fest.
