This Guy Started Drinking A Bunch Of Wine In The Middle Of The Liquor Store And It’s Kind Of A Mood
Decisions are hard. Decisions about what to get at the liquor store are really hard. But—and I can't believe I really have to say this—maybe don't open the bottles and have a taste before making your choice?!
On November 2, security footage from a Thailand liquor store showed a man taking wine bottles off the shelf, opening the bottles, and sipping from them; it was the New York Post that got hold of the footage of this absolute mayhem. Not that it would be OK with just one or two bottles, but this man seemingly tried EIGHT separate wines before finally deciding to purchase the ninth bottle.
According to The Daily Mail, the liquor store, located in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, reported that the man damaged over $50-worth of wine. After deciding on his bottle, which was a bottle of Argentinian white wine, he went up to the register while still drinking it to pay. The other eight rejected bottles were just...left in the middle of the aisle.
He's so nonchalant in the video that it seems like he may not even realize that this is totally not a thing you do. Part of me wants to be completely disturbed (which I am), but another part of me is also impressed? You've got to hand it to the guy—he's so unbothered by it all he could probably teach a crash course about not giving a shit.
Still, the fact that he technically stole all that product AND left the bottles right smack in the middle of the aisle for someone else to pick up or trip over is really not cool. I repeat: Don't open and consume products if you're not going to buy them. This has been an official Delish etiquette tip.
