  • Gwen Stefani, 49, opened up to Today about The Voice, Blake Shelton, and her kids.

  • Stefani, who had her youngest son Apollo at age 44, said that it was a "miracle" that she had him so late in her life.

  • Though there are rumors swirling around Twitter that Stefani and Shelton are having twins, Shelton poked fun at them in a tweet.

On Monday, The Voice coach Gwen Stefani appeared on Today and opened up to Hoda Kotb and Andy Cohen about The Voice season 17, her children, and her relationship with country star Blake Shelton.

Stefani, who is a mother of three boys, had her youngest child Apollo at age 44 and talked about how difficult it was to send him off to school. "The baby is going to be 6 and started kindergarten," she told Kotb and Cohen. "That part was a little bit hard."

"I never thought I would actually be in preschool again because I had him so late. It was such a miracle surprise that I had him in the first place, so I'm just trying to savor every moment," she continued. In the past, her older sons would go off to school and Apollo would stay at home with her. "But when you get to real school, you realize you're at the beginning of homework" and everything else.

It seems like Stefani is getting help from her boyfriend, country star Blake Shelton. Though Shelton does not have any kids from his previous relationships, Stefani said that he has helped raise her children since 2015, when the two got together.

When Kotb asked The Voice coach if she thought Shelton would be a good dad, Stefani said that he is a good dad. "He's been helping me out a lot," she said. "I get to the point where I'm like 'hurry up and get home I need help!'"

Regardless, rumors have circulated that the couple has considered expanding their family with surrogacy, and even have twins on the way. Usually The Voice stars keep quiet about their private lives, but Shelton decided to poke fun about the rumors on Twitter.

When Stefani tweeted a peak at her collection of kids clothes for target called Harajuku Mini, Shelton responded "ohhhhhh @gwenstefani this stuff will be great for our twins!!!!"

If there are more kids in the future for the two, we'll have to wait to find out. In the meantime, it definitely sounds like the lovebirds are enjoying their time together.

"He's a magical person," Stefani told Kotb and Cohen. "I'm so obsessed with Blake Shelton that I went back and watched old interviews with you guys because I'm so fascinated that he was alive back then and I didn't know him."

"Life is full of surprises," she continued. "It works perfectly. We're just having so much fun at this point in our lives."

As season 17 of The Voice kicked off this week, Stefani is stoked to be back on the show, judging alongside her beau, who has starred on the show sixteen times in the past. Stefani is also a veteran coach, appearing in four seasons.

"I can't believe I'm back on the Voice! It's so fun," she told Today. "I was actually nervous about it because every season has been a different time period of life. In the first season, I just had the baby and he was only four months. And then my life blew up the second I did it. Then me and Blake were falling in love during the third season. So this time, it's been a while. You get a little been more of us."

Kotb was wondering how much the star planned to share about her personal life as a coach alongside Shelton. "Whenever I talk about my relationship with Joel, I feel like the more I talk about it, it loses something for me," Kotb said.

"I didn't know how much to be us, but you can't do anything but just be you, so it was easy," Stefani replied.

She also announced that 2020 will be the last year of her tour in Las Vegas. "I've done 35 shows, and the final dates will next year in February and May for Vegas," she said. So if you've been thinking about going but haven't committed, now's your chance!
