Capt. Ryan McGiboney told Channel 2 Action News that calls for help came in around 5:41 p.m. Saturday after the boy went underwater and didn’t resurface.
Six minutes later, he said first responders showed up to Yellow River Park where a mother said she was visiting with her son.

“He was last seen in the water, and his mother witnessed him go under,” said McGiboney.
