Gwinnett senior one of just 300 nationwide to win prestigious Gates scholarship

A Dacula High School senior is one of just 300 students nationwide to earn a prestigious Gates Scholarship this year.

Micah Petit-Bois recently learned that her hard work throughout her K-12 academic career has earned her the competitive scholarship to whatever college she’s accepted into.

The Gates Scholarship is a highly-selective scholarship for outstanding minority high school seniors from low-income households. The scholarship is funded by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Petit- Bois will receive the full cost of attendance that is not already covered by other financial aid. The cost of attendance includes tuition, fees, room, board, books, and transportation, and may include other personal costs.
