The Buffalo Grove Gymnastics Center is located at 1362 Barclay Blvd.
"Our staff and administration have put forth a tremendous amount of energy hoping their efforts would allow us to stay open," the owners said in the Facebook post. "Unfortunately, we have come to realize, it is just not possible."
According to post, the center has produced several national and international competitors, World and Olympic Team contenders, and many state and regional accomplishments. Many former athletes have gone on to received athletic scholarships at some of the best gymnastics programs in the United States.
"We have made it our mission to provide children the opportunity to participate in the sport of gymnastics both recreationally, as well as competitively," the post reads. "The fulfillment we received watching all the smiling faces that have walked through our doors has truly touched our hearts."
