H.S. ROUNDUP: Cape Tech girls basketball remains undefeated behind Miranda's big game

Jada Miranda dropped a game-high 31 points to help the Cape Tech girls basketball team improve to 5-0 with a 47-29 win over Bristol Aggie on Wednesday.

Miranda also had 10 rebounds and 3 assists in the win.

Gianna Lubash had a double-double as well, finishing with 10 assists and 14 rebounds. Lashae Miranda had a balanced game with 9 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists.

Maggie Brookshire chipped in 13 rebounds of her own.

Norfolk Aggie 39, Upper Cape 32: The Rams fell in overtime and are now 3-3.

Hannover 36, Falmouth 33: The Clippers (5-3) were led by Teagan Lind's 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Sturgis West 28, Atlantis Charter 25: The Navigators (1-4) picked up their first win of the season.

Hull 39, Falmouth Academy 7: The Mariners drop to 1-6 on the year.

Boys Basketball

Norwell 44, Cape Cod Academy 39: The Seahawks drop to 4-5 on the year.

Cape Tech 48, Bristol Aggie 25: The Crusaders (6-1) continued their hot start to the season.

Girls Hockey

Sandwich 4, Pembroke 3: Four different Blue Knights (6-2) scored in Sandwich's overtime victory over Pembroke. Emma MacPherson broke the deadlock in the first period, before Adrianna Kelsch doubled the Blue Knights lead before the period ended. Makena Clark added the third goal in the second period, and Katie Barrett scored the winner in overtime.

Falmouth 8, Nantucket 3: Falmouth (5-0-1) continued its undefeated start after beating the Whalers (0-7).

Cape Cod Furies 8, Dennis-Yarmouth 2: The Furies snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 5-3-1 after beating the Dolphins (1-7)

Boys Hockey

Barnstable 6, Nauset 2: Chase Fields found the back of the net four times to help the Red Hawks (4-3-1) past the Warriors.

Martha's Vineyard 8, Monomoy/Mashpee 1: The Vineyarders (3-3) got back to .500 after beating Monomoy/Mashpee (1-5-1).

Bourne 9, Greater New Bedford Voke 0: Freshman winger James Crowell record five points in the Canalmen's (6-3) win over GNBVT. Crowell had a hat trick and two assists to lead Bourne's offense. Ty Kelley also recorded five points in the reverse (2G/3A) and Dana Leach scored twice and added an assist in the win. Ryan Burgess had two assists, and Owen Surrette and Dominic Bonito each had a goal and two assists and a balanced win for the Canalmen.

Boston Latin Academy 4, St. John Paul II 1: The Lions are now 0-7-1.

Diman 6, Upper Cape 2: The Rams dropped to 1-7 on the year.

Wrestling

Sandwich 36, Nauset 15: Luke Steel, Gavon Potter, Avery DeOrsey each had pins to lead the Blue Knights to the win over the Warriors.

Girls Swimming

Nantucket 96, Sandwich 81: The Whalers picked up the win.

Boys Swimming

Sandwich 80, Nantucket 63: The Blue Knights picked up the win.
