H.S. Roundup: Lancaster boys, girls pick up OCC-Buckeye Division wins
BOYS BASKETBALL
Lancaster 37, Central Crossing 34: The Golden Gales (6-8, 2-4) went on the road and pulled out a hard-fought Ohio Capital Conference-Buckeye Division win over the Comets.
Kolson Pugh led a balanced attack with 10 points, Dylan West finished with nine, while Dom Bornino, Sam Finck and Corbin Hietikko added six points each.
Fairfield Union 34, Circleville 32: The Falcons held on in their Mid-State League-Buckeye Division win over the visiting Tigers.
Caleb Schmelzer led the way with 14 points and Caleb Redding added 10 points.
Millersport 52, Berne Union 45: The Lakers had three players in double figures in their Mid-State League-Cardinal Division win over the Rockets.
Jordan Ross led the way with 19 points, Michael Levacy had 17 and Trey Johnston added 10 points.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Lancaster 53, Central Crossing 35: The Lady Gales (8-5, 2-3) cruised in the Ohio Capital Conference-Buckeye Division win over the visiting Comets.
Peyton Wilson led the way with 14 points, Jenna Grabans had 13 and Kylie Phillips chipped in nine points.
Fairfield Union 59, Hamilton Township 18: The Falcons improved to 16-1 overall and 10-0 in the Mid-State League-Buckeye Division in their convincing win over the Rangers.
Elly Lewis led the way with 18 points, including three 3-pointers, Hannah Rauch finished with 14 points and eight steals and Claire Cooperider added three points, seven rebounds, five steals and four assists.
Amanda-Clearcreek 65, Fairfield Christian Academy 23: The Aces (10-5) cruised in their non-conference win over the Knights. No other information was available.
